Ungas fritid is Ulricehamn Municipality's open youth center for young people aged 10 to 20. We are located at Ungdomens hus (The Youth House) in Ulricehamn and also work mobile through our leisure bus, allowing us to meet young people throughout the municipality. We work relationally and needs-based with a strong belief in young people's own strength. The activities are based on the KEKS quality model and the European guidelines for open youth work, where voluntariness, participation, safety, and learning are central. We are an LGBTQI-certified organization and actively work to create an inclusive and safe environment where all young people feel welcome.
We would like you to be able to start before summer, as you will be part of the activities during an important period and have the opportunity to work together with colleagues in ongoing activities. The position is a temporary replacement for an employee on leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work in open youth work where relational and safety-building work with young people is the foundation of the assignment. At the same time, you will have a special responsibility for our digital activities, technology, and documentation. Collaboration is a central part of the assignment and places high demands on your ability to cooperate both internally within the work group and externally with other actors.
The role includes, among other things:
- Working relationally and creating safety in our open youth activities
- Being a present adult and contributing to an inclusive and safe environment
- Planning and carrying out activities together with young people
- Planning and carrying out digital activities and courses, such as programming
- Ensuring the operation, updating, and development of technical solutions (e.g., computers and VR)
- Being responsible for the organization's computer lab, technical equipment, and digital environments
- Having special responsibility for documentation in the KEKS Logbook
- Collaborating with schools, associations, and other important actors close to young people
- Contributing to follow-up and development of the activities
- Participating in mobile activities via the leisure bus
We see that you want to contribute to the whole, both in direct contact with young people and in the development of our long-term goals. You work closely with your colleagues and find it easy to build relationships, both within the group and in contact with young people.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a great commitment to working with children and young people
- Is secure, attentive, and professional in meetings with young people
- Has excellent teamwork skills and enjoys collaborating with others
- Takes initiative, works independently, and drives assignments forward
- Is structured and solution-oriented
- Has an inclusive approach
Qualifications:
- At least two years of post-secondary education relevant to the position
- Experience working with children and young people
- Experience in planning and carrying out activities or similar operations
- Good digital competence
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written
- Class B driver's license (including experience driving young people as part of the job)
Merits:
- Experience in digital creation, programming, or similar
- Experience in running courses or training
- Experience with technical responsibility (e.g., IT, equipment, or systems)
- Experience working within open youth work
- Experience with documentation and follow-up, e.g., within KEKS
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
The position is a temporary replacement for an employee on leave. The temporary position may be extended or converted into another form of employment.
Requirement for a criminal record check upon offer of employment according to Act (2013:852) (SFS2026:49) on register control of persons who are to work with children.
